Carpet & curtain cleaning in Abu Dhabi: the complete guide
Why Abu Dhabi's dust makes carpet and curtain cleaning a 3–6 month routine, what deep cleaning involves, per-metre and per-m² prices, and how pickup works.

Fine desert dust is the defining fact of housekeeping in Abu Dhabi. It settles into carpet pile and curtain weave where vacuums and dusters can't reach, and it builds up fastest in exactly the rooms you use most — the majlis and the living room.
How often to deep clean
- Carpets and rugs: every 4–6 months, sooner with kids or pets
- Curtains: every 3–6 months; kitchen-adjacent curtains fastest
- Majlis carpets: before Ramadan and Eid gatherings is the popular rhythm
What professional deep cleaning involves
A proper carpet clean starts with dust extraction before any water touches the pile — washing a dusty carpet just makes mud. Stains are then treated individually, the carpet is washed with fabric-safe chemistry, and — critically — dried completely. A carpet returned damp will smell within a week; we never release one until it's fully dry, which is why turnaround is 2–3 days.
Curtains are priced and cleaned per metre, with the method matched to the fabric: standard weaves are washed, blackout linings handled carefully, and chiffons dry cleaned.
Prices and pickup
Carpets run roughly AED 15–25 per square metre; curtains from AED 8 per metre for washing up to AED 30 per metre for delicate chiffon dry cleaning. Pickup and redelivery are free — we collect, clean and return carpets rolled and wrapped, and can help rehang curtains on request. Booking is one WhatsApp message to your nearest branch: Al Shawamekh, Al Nahyan or Delma Street.
